Travel
We can’t wait to see you in Margate for Margate Soul Festival.

We are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint this year and would encourage anyone who can to use public transport (or bikes, bus or feet if you live locally!)

Trains
Margate is well served by trains from London as well as our neighbouring towns.

For train ticket info over Margate Soul Festival weekend and timetables go to trainline.com.

Land train
To help you cover more ground and see more at Margate Soul Festival, we will be operating a free land train from Margate Train Station to the Lido / Newgate Lower Promenade over the festival weekend (Fri-Sun, times TBC), with several stops in the Old Town.

Bike hire
We are working with The Bike Shed in Margate to offer up 1 – 3 bike hire packages if you’d like to explore Margate and our amazing coastline while you’re in town. There will be bike parking at The Lido for the Sunset Stage.

We will be sending out details of the packages and booking links to ticket holders ASAP.

Buses
The Loop runs between Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate and runs until just after 11pm. For the Loop timetable and bus stops see Stagecoach

Car parking
There is no dedicated car park for Margate Soul Festival. There are public paid car parks for parking by the hour in the following locations across Margate. Pay by cash or use the Ringo app.

● Margate Train Station (APCOA app not Ringo)
● Turner Contemporary car park
● Market Street car park
● Trinity Square car park
● Mill Lane car park

Dreamland Car Park offers all day parking.

Walking
Margate is a 1 hour walk along the Viking Coastal Path from Broadstairs or just under an hour’s walk from Westgate.
